Dr. Ray Nikodem grew up in South County, St. Louis, and has been involved in dentistry his entire life. His father was an orthodontist in South County for over 30 years. He has a cousin who is an endodontist in North County, and three of his brothers are currently dentists. Because many of his father’s friends were also dentists, Dr. Ray was exposed to discussions of dentistry, so he knew at an early age he wanted to be a dentist.
Dr. Nikodem attended Creighton University, where he studied biology before being accepted into the dental school during his junior year. Dentistry has always been his passion, and it is reflected in his work and how he treats his patients. He understands a visit to the dentist can be an uncomfortable experience, and he works very hard to see that every visit to him is as pleasant as possible.
If you ask Dr. Ray what his hobbies are, he’ll probably say dentistry, but in his spare time, he enjoys watching sports of all kinds and is an avid fan of West Ham United F.C. in the Premier League. He also enjoys watching horse racing and loves Indian food. Dr. Ray is the proud father of a Naval officer who is waiting for deployment in the submarine fleet.
